Meet Dr. Batres

Dr. Angelika Batres is an American dentist who grew up in Honduras and whose passion for dentistry began at age eleven, inspired by the life-changing smile makeover of her mother. Early on, she volunteered with Operation Smile, helping underserved communities in Honduras, a commitment that shaped her patient centered approach.

After relocating to Miami, she graduated with honors and completed a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN), contributing to studies on diabetes and wound healing published in Diabetes journal. She later earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University and a Master’s in Implantology and Oral Surgery in Barcelona, Spain, with advanced surgical training in São Paulo, Brazil.

Motivated by her passion for innovation, Dr. Batres created Think Tooth, a line of natural chewable tablets that help prevent cavities and support oral health.

Today, as the founder of Healthy Teeth Dental in Miami, Florida, Dr. Batres combines artistry, science, and compassion in every treatment, specializing in cosmetic and surgical dentistry to help patients achieve confident, natural smiles.
